New business models for print publishers

Jeff Jarvis (Buzzmachine) released an interesting article. First, it ‘exposes’ the great lie of print advertising – every advertiser pays for every reader. Next, it turns to alternative business models.

In particular, I kinda like these ones:

  • New advertisers (Google did it, why can’t you?)
  • Glam Model (Sounds like branded channels to me!)
  • News as an ecosystem (readers respond; use it well)
